Self Portrait Contact Sheet

My contact sheet turned out well, but quite a few pictures turned out blurry or hard to see because the self portraits were very hard to capture.  My camera didn't have a timer and so it was difficult getting a good variety of pictures.  I think I will be able to find some good ones to print though.

Little Bro

This picture, though silly, was super cute of my little brother. I thought that it captured his personality pretty well.  He can be very serious at times, but is always making jokes.  This picture turned out a little lighter than I hoped, but overall, not bad.

Mom

This picture was taken outside in the sunlight, and my mom is squinting in the sun.  I liked that because I thought it made it harder to read her expression and more open to the imagination.

Looking Through the Glass

I thought that this picture would have a really cool effect with the mirror.  I took it because I felt like it would have a deeper meaning, and it might seem profound.  I really like how you just see the back of his head, but in the mirror you see his face.

Portrait Contact Sheet

My portraits were a mix of inside and outside and I had trouble determining where to have my subjects stand, based on where the sun was. As you can see some of the pictures too light when the sun was bright. Next time, I will be able to better determine how to incorporate the sun into the pictures.

Tilt Shifts

These Tilt Shifts were done by the Willamette and also from an elevator observatory in Oregon City. By blurring the background and foreground of the pictures, and then adjusting the brightness, my goal was to make the pictures look toy-like.  My favorite was the one with a couple floating houses and the brush surrounding it.  I loved this because it looked almost like a fairy tale picture with little houses in the distance peeking out.

Flowers

These flowers were a gorgeous purple color, and although it is black and white, you can see the pretty texture of them.  I wanted to get close up so that I could see the lines on the inside of the petals well.

My brother

This picture was slightly impromptu, but I caught my brother talking to me on the stairs, and liked the empty space around him, as well as the panes of light above coming from the chandelier.

Cow!

This was one of the many cows in the field.  He was mainly uninterested in the camera, but I got him to look at me here.  He was far away from me but the bottom and top were cropped to make him look closer.

Storm and I

This picture was from my first film role and it was taken outside in the daylight of myself and my bunny, Storm.  It was bright out so the aperture was smaller.

First Contact Sheet

My first Contact Sheet from my first roll of film! It came out much better than I expected, and every picture was visible except for one accidental shot.  The majority of the pictures are of animals (cows mostly) and flowers, with a few humans in the mix.  The cows were a lot of fun to take pictures of because after awhile they came right up to me!
